Darryl joined his father Ken Iwai at Lyall Gas Products Canada in 1987 to re-organize the company’s operations and ownership structure resulting in the formation of KTI Limited.

Darryl also began his entertainment career in 1987 as Vice-President of an independent distribution company representing Orion Pictures and MGM/UA Home Entertainment. He later served as President of PolyGram Films, Canada from 1994 – 2000 releasing films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, Fargo, and The Usual Suspects. Following his tenure at PolyGram, he served as President of Worldwide Distribution for Signpost Films, an international production and distribution company, based in both London and Los Angeles.

Darryl is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.

Dean joined his father Ken Iwai at KTI Limited on the first day of KTI’s inception, January 1, 1988. He was able to learn from his father’s leadership and experience for 18 years before Ken’s passing.

Dean has been instrumental in the growth and diversification of the KTI Group of Companies, leading the company into all 3 energy disciplines, Gas, Electric and Water. Through great teamwork, the Leadership Team also made a strategic acquisition of AF Hall in 2016 (re-branded as KTI Engineered Solutions) as well as starting our KTI Utility Services Division in 2019. This diversification strategy has resulted in unparalleled growth for KTI as a North American solutions provider, creating sustainable momentum in all KTI verticals.

Dean graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Mathematics\Statistics.

Chris is President of KTI Limited and KTI Utility Services—market leaders in utility product distribution, engineering, and installation services. Chris started his career in the energy industry as a Professional Engineer at Consumers Gas and joined KTI in 1998 as a Sales Manager responsible for the metrology and regulation portfolio in Eastern Canada.

Having been with the company for more than 26 years, he has held various sales and management roles, including General Manager and Executive Vice President prior to assuming the role of President in 2019. Chris’ leadership and industry experience have helped position KTI as a market leader and partner of choice for Canadian Utilities.

Chris graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science.

Scott started his journey at KTI in 2012 where he now leads the gas sales teams and oversight of our central groups including Finance, Customer Operations, and HR. Scott brings 25 years of experience in the energy sector including technical positions in operations and engineering at a major gas utility, as well as senior leadership roles in the HVAC industry.

Scott graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science.

Steve joined the KTI in 1995 bringing 4 years of experience as an Accountant with KPMG and 2 years in Finance/ Operations roles at a film distribution company. His responsibilities at KTI include leading the Finance and Administration teams, and working with divisional managers to help KTI meet its financial forecasts, targets, and align with business strategy.

Steve graduated from York University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CA).

John joined KTI in 2002 and brings 19 years experience in the utility industry across Canada and the United States. He currently specializes in solution sales, project and contract management while leading a team of dedicated sales and technical support professionals. John also oversees relationship management of over 100 utility and municipal clients with direct sales of over 3.5 M endpoints. With his diverse background in education and leadership roles, John brings a unique blend of expertise, and passion to drive impactful growth and innovation in the utility sector.

John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Chemistry, a Bachelor of Education, and MBA (Finance).

Trisha joined KTI Limited in 1990, initially establishing her career in administration/accounting, she then moved to human resources and holds her current role as Human Resources Manager.

With over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, she oversees all HR activities including leading HR initiatives, supporting employee relations and development, and working to continue fostering our exceptional company culture.

Carlo serves as the Director of IT bringing over 15 years of experience in the utilities industry. His tenure includes significant contributions as a Project Manager on major projects, including the deployment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) networks across Canada and a major role in Canada’s largest water deployment project.

In his current position, Carlo has focused on enhancing operational efficiency and integrating technology solutions, including the early adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve company processes. His commitment to IT best practices and security is paramount, ensuring the company’s technology advancements are both innovative and secure. Carlo’s strategic leadership in project management and IT has been instrumental in maintaining the company’s leadership in the utilities sector, balancing innovation with operational excellence, and security.

Carlo graduated from the University of Toronto in Applied Science and Engineering and holds designations as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Sara joined the KTI team in 2024 bringing over 20 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on supply chain. Sara’s experience spans a variety of industries including Aerospace, Injection Molding, Lighting, and Smart Vending and Automated Asset Management.

Sara’s focus is to build Operational Excellence driving value for our Customers within the Product Specialist team and our Distribution Centres, working both with our Customers and Supplier Partners. Sara brings expertise in ERP solutions, that will support enhancing technological solutions.

Gonzalo joined KTI Limited’s leadership team in 2023 as Director of Sales – Gas. He started his career in the gas industry in 2001 with Enbridge Consumers Gas, where he held various management roles in Engineering, Integrity and Operations. Over the past 10 years, Gonzalo has also been an active member of the Canadian Standards Association Z662 Oil & Gas Standard.

Gonzalo graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Applied Science & Engineering. He also completed his Masters Business Administration from Clarkson University with specialization in Supply Chain.
